6. Customize your shortcut bar On the screen tap, select the Group drop-down arrow.

7. Select Pin or Auto. “Pin” places the group on the shortcut bar while “Auto” controls the visibility of the group icon based on your activity in any of your groups. Select Hide to remove the group from the shortcut bar.

You can only customize shortcuts on the Facebook app for iPhone, iPad, or Android. It is not possible to hide shortcuts on desktop.

How to Add Groups to Menus on Facebook Desktop

Facebook on desktop doesn’t have a shortcut bar. However, you can go to Groups from the left pane and add your favorite groups by pinning them under the main Groups icon.

Open Facebook in a desktop browser.
From News Feed, select Groups in the left pane (select See more if all icons are not visible).

The Groups page lists the groups you manage and the groups you have joined.
